Mandarin speaking Accountant and Business Manager required….

Our client, a dynamic Halifax based company seeks a unique Accountant and Business Manager to assist in growth.
Our client designs and distributes toys that are educational and fun.
Operating in a global marketplace, their products are designed locally, manufactured offshore, and distributed and sold to clients worldwide.
As a result of their 25% to 30% growth every year for the past three years, our client has a need for a highly motivated and energetic Accountant and Business Manager to join their focused team.
Reporting to the Senior Management Team, the Accountant and Business Manager will be responsible for the company’s accounts receivable, accounts payable, deposits, daily GL postings as well as the preparation of monthly and yearly in-house financial statements.
This role will also involve tracking the cost of goods sold, preparing PO’s for goods manufactured offshore and weekly updates to cash flows.
The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in designing and implementing procedures and processes for improved efficiencies within the financial department.
The ideal candidate will be passionate and flexible and will be able to work independently and as a member of a creative team.
We are looking for a bright individual who is a fast learner and has the ability to get things done quickly in a casual but focused environment.
The ability to work in a highly computerized environment is a necessity and the willingness to roll up your sleeves and dig into just about anything is paramount.
Competency in Mandarin, French, Spanish and/or German would be a bonus.
